KISMIF, DAY 4

Today’s KISMIF 2016 programme is centered in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, where the main activities begin at 11h15 with a lecture by Simone Pereira de Sá, followed by Samantha Bennett and Peter Webb.

At 16h00 opens the exhibition “The Man Who Sold the World: the Post Grunge Exhibition”, with presentation by Paula Guerra of the book “The Man Who Sold the World: music, memory and heritage.” Soon after, we have a live performance from Fast Eddie Nelson with Harpin’Joe Jammer.

At 16h50 are launched three books: “Grunge: Music and Memory” by Catherine Strong; “Route 666: on the road to Nirvana” by Gina Arnold; and “Death and the rock star” by Catherine Strong and Barbara Lebrun.

From 19h30, at Casa da Música, are launched two more books. The first is entitled “Network Subcultures book series,” by the very Subcultures Network and at 20h00 Mike Dines, Alastair Gordon and Paula Guerra present “The Punk Reader”.

For the night, at Teatro Rivoli is scheduled the documentary “Crass: there is the authority but yourself,” directed by Alexander Oey, followed by The Jack Shits live act and DJ set from Chaputa Records.
