KISMIF SUMMER SCHOOL

The ‘warm-up’ for the KISMIF Conference takes place, for the participants, on July 3rd with the KISMIF SUMMER SCHOOL. Headquartered at the Planetarium of Porto, this Summer School offers a series of workshops with specialists from around the globe, covering themes such as ethnographic research, digital cinema, relationships between music and live music and editing, analysis of the movement, the ethnomusical film or musical careers. KISMIF Summer School has names such as MARY FOGARTY, MICHAEL MACDONALD, CLAIRE HODGSON, TRACEY DEVERY AND SCOTT HENDERSON.

The day is also the opening of the exhibition FREE YOURSELF/LIBERTA-TE, by the artist of jewelry TERESA MILHEIRO. The exhibition opens at 2:30 p.m. and will be open until the 22nd at the PALACETE DOS VISCONDES DE BALSEMÃO, another of Porto spaces that host the activities of the KISMIF Conference.
