“New public policy challenges for contemporary arts and cultures”
Guest editors: Paula Guerra and Sabrina Parracho Sant’Anna
Taking into account the main themes of KISMIF Conference 2018 — gender, artistic differences, multiple identities and their relations with urban artistic cultures — we propose, in this Special Issue, the collection of a set of articles that consider the new challenges of cultural policies that can be condensed in the following axes of approach: the role and importance of spaces, places and territories of gender in the contemporary artistic scenes; the centrality of diasporas, displacements and migrations in contemporary artistic productions; the new artistic productions and intermediations in favor of spatial and social justice; urban microeconomies, alternative economies and artistic and cultural entrepreneurship; or the production of resistance and re-signification of the city.
